Mahkaush

The Challenge
Kashmiri ethnic wear is a niche with devoted buyers but reaching them online requires content that does justice to the craftsmanship. Generic product photos simply don't sell handmade embroidery. Mahkaush needed a website experience and social media presence that communicated texture, artistry, and heritage — making customers feel the quality of the fabric through a screen. With collections spanning both summer and winter wear across multiple product categories, the website also needed an intuitive structure that made browsing and purchasing effortless.
Our Approach
We began with a full model and product shoot — capturing the intricate Aari embroidery details, fabric textures, and the elegance of each silhouette in both studio and lifestyle settings. The shoot produced a complete bank of high-quality images across every collection summer kurtis, co-ord sets, winter Pherans, and woolen suits giving the brand the visual assets needed for both the website and social media.
The Shopify store was designed around the brand's cultural identity — warm, elegant, and rooted in Kashmiri aesthetics. Collections were organized intuitively by season (Summer/Winter) and category (Pherans, Kurtis, Co-ord Sets, Unstitched Suits), making discovery natural. Product pages led with rich fabric and craftsmanship details that educated buyers and built purchase confidence.
For social media, we built a content strategy centered around the story of Kashmiri artisanship showcasing the embroidery process, styling inspirations, and the cultural heritage behind each piece. Reels featuring the model shoot and behind-the-scenes content drove strong organic engagement and follower growth on Instagram.
